FLUSHING, N.Y. (April 14, 2010) – Drew Women's Tennis defeated Hunter College 9-0 this afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center. The Rangers did not lose a set in singles play and earned their first shutout of the season.

Ranger Female Athlete of the Week, Michelle Gbelama (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) continued her stellar play as she won 6-3, 6-2 in number two singles and teamed up with Chelsea Lipp (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme to squeak out a 9-7 doubles victory.

Freshman Vivian Peng (Piscataway, N.J/Boca Raton Community) returned to action winning at both number one singles and number one doubles. Hawk opponent Evgeniya Kim won a total of five games against her, the most of all her opponents combined this season.

The Rangers will return home to host Gwynedd-Mercy on Friday at 4:30.
