Box Score
MADISON, N.J. (October 15, 2011) – Samantha Russo broke a scoreless tie in overtime to help Scranton (8-2-3, 2-0 Landmark) defeat the Rangers, 1-0 on Senior Day. Coming into the contest, Drew (6-8, 2-2 Landmark) had won their previous four games.

The Rangers saw a near brilliant defensive effort go to waste in the fourth minute of first overtime when Russo slipped past the Ranger back line and won a one-on-one battle with Drew goalkeeper Agata Dera (Wallington, N.J./Wallington). The sophomore netminder had a career day turning away nine Royal shots.

Her defense in front of her sustained a Royal offense that fired 16 shots compared to just six by the Rangers. On two separate occasions Kiana Lundy (Boonton, Twp. N.J./Mountain Lakes) saved two would be goals from crossing the line to help keep the game tied at the end of regulation.

Dera's counterpart, Kelsy McAnelly made three saves for her eighth win of the season.

The Rangers will be right back at it on Monday when they welcome in the College of Staten Island. The non-conference match is set for 7:00 p.m. at Ranger Stadium.
