MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 9, 2011) - Coming off an overtime victory last night, the Women's Lacrosse team drops their final game in South Carolina to Elizabethtown, 13-8.

Elizabethtown (1-2) would strike first, just one minute into the game, but lead scorer Stacie Brown (Upper Marlboro, Md./The Calverton School) would keep Drew (3-1) close netting three in the first half. In a back and forth, the Rangers would get their first and only lead of the game off a drive from senior Cara Jeffries (Central Square, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) at 20:25. After a two goal response by the Blue Jays to regain the lead by one, Brown would notch the game for the third and final time. After thirty minutes of regulation the Rangers would go to the bench down by three.

Drew would come out firing in the second half, scoring the first two. Jeffries would dish out one of her two assists of the day to teammate Devon Affleck (Abington, Pa./Abington) off the draw control. Within minutes, Sloane Coles (The Plains, Va./Foxcroft) would net her second off an awarded free position to lessen the margin to one.  Lyndsay Rossi (Pennington, N.J./Pennington) would pick up her third assist of the day, with a pass to Jeffries for the Rangers final goal.
