MADISON, N.J. (September 24, 2011) - Susquehanna (5-2, 1-0 Landmark) erased a two-goal deficit by scoring three unanswered goals to squeak by the Rangers, 3-2 this afternoon. Drew (2-6, 0-1 Landmark) forward Christine Meconi (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) scored both goals in the loss.

The first half of play belonged to the Rangers as Meconi netted her first two goals of the season. The senior headed a beautiful cross from Katie O'Keefe (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) into the back of the net in the 15th minute to make the score, 1-0. Off a free kick near the end line 14 minutes later, Meconi curled a ball into the far corner of the net that tipped off the outstretched hands of Crusader goalkeeper Rachel Norbuts.

Just before the Rangers were about to take a comfortable two-goal lead into the half, the Crusaders got on the scoreboard with a Marissa Daparto unassisted goal with four minutes left on the clock.

Susquehanna sophomore Laura Buriak assisted on the final two goals to complete the comeback. She found Hadley Elsenbaumer in the 67th minute to tie the game at two and connected with Samantha Price with under seven minutes to play for the game-winner.

The Rangers will be back on the pitch this Wednesday when they travel to Hoboken for a 7:00 p.m. tilt with Stevens.
