MADISON, N.J. (January 30, 2012) - Senior
Danielle Barber (Cape May Court House, N.J./Middle Township) collected her first Landmark Conference Player of the Week award of the season with three stellar performances this past week. The Ranger guard took over the conference scoring lead, averaging 15.8 ppg. and moved into fifth place all-time on Drew's scoring list with 1,275 points.
Barber played three strong all-around games for Drew this past week. With two of three games
coming against nationally-ranked opponents, she averaged 22.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals while
shooting 51-percent from the field and 50-percent from three-point range. She scored 24 points in nearly helping
Drew knock off Landmark leaders Juniata, and then poured in 24 again in a win over Susquehanna that kept the
Rangers in range of a postseason berth. She also had nine rebounds and five steals in the win, and totaled 48 points,
13 rebounds, 10 assists and six steals in the two Landmark games while playing every minute. She had 19 points and
seven rebounds in a loss to nationally-ranked William Paterson.
