Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. (October 13, 2012) – A tie was the result for the second time this season against a Landmark opponent as the Drew women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against first place Scranton (5-6-2, 2-0-1 Landmark) today at Fitzpatrick Field. The Rangers record moves to 5-6-2 overall and 1-1-2 in Landmark Conference play.
Neither team could find the back of the net after 110 minutes of soccer today in Scranton, Pa. The Royals who came into the contest sitting atop the conference standings was able to outshoot the Rangers 23-15 in the contest.
Senior goalkeeper
Kim Jaikissoon, the reigning Landmark Conference player of the week, made six stops in net. She got a little help from defender
Kiana Lundy (Boonton Twp., N.J./Mountain Lakes) who made two game-saving stops in front of the net.
Scranton goalkeeper, Kelsy McAnelly, also made six stops after being credited with her first tie of the season.
Juniors
Katie O'Keefe (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) and
Liz Loidice (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) each led the Rangers with two shots on goal.
The Rangers will close out a five-game road trip on Monday when they travel to Staten Island for a non-conference tilt with The College of Staten Island at 4:00 p.m.
