Ospreys Oust Rangers from ECAC Tournament

Box Score GALLOWAY, N.J. (November 10, 2012) – The Drew women's soccer team was eliminated from the 2012 ECAC Metro Tournament this afternoon by top-seed Richard Stockton (17-3-3) who advanced to the championship with a 3-0 shutout victory. The Rangers finish their 2012 campaign with a record of 10-8-3.

Stockton wasted little time getting on the board as Jacque Becker scored the only goal of the first half 7:35 into the match. The Ospreys outshot Drew 9-1 in the first half and led 1-0 at the break.

DaileyTodd clinched the win for Stockton with two goals in a six-minute span late in the second half.  Jess McQuillen volleyed a pass that sent Todd in against Drew goalkeeper Kim Jaikissoon (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia), and she booted a high shot into the net for a 2-0 Stockton lead at the 72:45 mark.  Six minutes later, Kiera Hines fed Todd for a 15-yard shot into the lower right corner that was the senior's sixth tally of the season and closed out the 3-0 victory for the Ospreys.

Jaikissoon finished with a game-high five saves while counterpart Sarah Hinkle made her only save late for her seventh shutout of the season.  The Rangers only shot on goal came in the second half as the ospreys outshot Drew, 15-3

Stockton will play for the ECAC Metro title tomorrow and will host either No. 2 seed Kean or No. 3 Mount St. Mary (N.Y.) at 1 p.m.
