MADISON, N.J. (November 9, 2012) – The Drew University women's swim team dropped to 0-2 on the season after a 112-77 loss to Montclair State (2-2) this evening at F.M. Kirby Pool. Junior
Jess Harrington (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) won a pair of races but the Red Hawks won their 11
th-straight decision against the Rangers.
Harrington won both the 50 Free for the second meet in a row and later took first in the 100 Free. Her of 26.22
in the 50 Free was a hundredth of a second behind her lifetime best and the sixth best 50 free time in school history set earlier this year. She touched first in the 100 Free with a time of 57.55.
The 200 Freestyle relay of
Mariel Schwinger (Los Angeles, Calf./Sherman Oaks),
Catie Rueger (Housatonic, Mass./Monument Mountain),
Sarah O'Brien (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) and
Kristin Zeigler (Collegeville, Pa.Perkiomen Valley) turned in the fastest time of the young season by posting a 1:55.66 in the final race of the night.
The Rangers will be back in the pool tomorrow when they open up their Landmark Conference schedule to take on Marywood in Scranton, Pa.
