TOWSON, Md. (March 31, 2012) – Goucher (8-5, 1-2 Landmark) won their first Landmark Conference match this afternoon with a 6-3 win over Drew (3-3, 2-1 Landmark) this afternoon. The Rangers came away with only one victory in doubles and two more in singles action.

Junior Chelsea Lipp (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) and senior Cristine Conde (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) registered the only win of the day in doubles for the Rangers with an 8-3 victory over Addie Maxwell and Vickey Casey of Goucher.

Trailing 2-1, the hill would be too much for the Rangers to climb as Lipp and Conde recorded the only two victories in singles play. At number one singles, Lipp defeated Meaghan Lee in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. Conde also posted a straight-set victory over Emily Ruff in number six singles.

The Rangers will return home on Monday to take on cross-street rival Fairleigh Dickinson at 4:00 p.m. on the Drew Tennis Courts.
