MADISON, N.J. (March 23, 2013) – The Drew University Women's Tennis team were defeated, 8-1 by Juniata College (7-1, 1-0 Landmark) this afternoon at the Drew Tennis Center. The Rangers remain winless on the season, falling to 0-3.

The Rangers found themselves in a 3-0 hole after doubles play and went on to lose two, three-set matches in singles play. Senior Chelsea Lipp (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) recorded the only Drew victory on the day, defeating Heather Waring, 6-2, 6-1.

Sofia Madrigal (San Jose, Costa Rica/Pan-American School) and Deanna Williams (Fairfield, Calif./Gorin Tennis Academy) both fell in three sets at the number two and three positions respectively.

Drew will travel to Susquehanna tomorrow for a make-up match originally scheduled for last Saturday. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in Selinsgrove, Pa.
