SELINSGROVE, Pa. (March 24, 2013) – The Susquehanna women's tennis team topped Drew this afternoon, 7-2 to improve to 9-0 on the season. The Rangers fall to 0-4 on the spring and 0-2 in Landmark Conference play.
The Rangers who have struggled in doubles play so far this spring dropped all three matches, giving the Crusaders a 3-0 advantage going into singles play.
Senior
Chelsea Lipp (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) won her second singles match in two days, defeating Shelby O'Riley, 6-3, 6-2. Lipp is 2-2 this season in dual match play. Sophomore
Deanna Williams (Fairfield, Calif./Gorin Tennis Academy) outlasted Jessica Klinger in three sets for her win of the spring.
The Crusaders went on take four of the six singles matches in straight sets for the third-straight win over the Drew.
The Rangers will be back in action, next Tuesday when they take on The University of Scranton on the road at 3:30 p.m.
