MADISON, N.J. (April 6, 2013) – The first place Goucher College Gophers (9-3, 2-0 Landmark) won all nine matches in a 9-0 victory over the Drew University tennis team. The Rangers fall to 0-6 on the season and remain winless at 0-3 in Landmark Conference play.

The Gophers have won four of the five all-time regular season matchups since entering the Landmark Conference prior to the 2007-08 season, with the only Drew win coming in 2010.

Goucher took all six singles matches in straight sets. Playing in the three position, sophomore Deanna Williams (Fairfield, Calif./Gorin Tennis Academy) had her comeback fall short, getting edged 7-6 after dropping the first set, 6-3.

The Rangers will be back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to Scranton for a conference match with the Royals.
