MADISON, N.J. (June 4, 2013) – The most prestigious of the three academic honors given by the Landmark Conference was given to softball senior,
Jeramie Barletta (Madison, N.J./Madison) today as she was named the Softball Senior Scholar Athlete.
Barletta capped off her career for the Rangers with a .407 batting average this season to rank second in the conference. She was awarded First Team All-Landmark honors and was named the team's Most Valuable Player. Barletta started every single game of her career and she boasts a .301 career average at the plate over four years. She was a three-sport student-athlete at Drew having played two years of soccer and basketball.
Originally from Madison, Barletta graduated with a degree in political science. She has earned a 3.98 cumulative grade point is also a four-time Landmark All-Academic Team member including the last two spring seasons. She has been a Dean's List honoree every semester at Drew.
Most recently, Barletta was named a Capital One Academic All-America selection by CoSIDA. The award recognizes both athletic and academic success.
