Box Score Scranton, Pa. (March 14, 2014) – The Drew women's lacrosse team (3-2, 1-0) won its third consecutive game and first Landmark Conference contest this afternoon with a, 13-12 victory over Scranton (1-1, 0-1).

Nikki Kleiman (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) collected a pass from senior
Brooke Gagliano (Freehold, N.J./Freehold) and found the back of the net for her third goal of the game. Kleiman added four assists on the day for the Rangers. Junior
Krysta Cento (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) led Drew in scoring with a season-high six goals on the day. The junior midfielder added an assist and scooped up four groundballs for the Rangers in the victory.
Cento got the Rangers on the board first, scoring her first of the day a little less than two minutes into the game. The Royals scored the next two goals of the half to take a, 2-1 lead with 25:07 left to play in the first half. Drew tied the game, 2-2 two minutes on an unassisted goal by Kleiman. Scranton scored the half's next three goals to take a, 5-2 lead with 16:53 left in the first. At 15:03 senior
Jess Johnson (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Senior) scored their first of five consecutive goals for the Rangers. Cento (2), Kleiman (1) and
Anna Fiorini (Bethel, Conn./Bethel) scored the other four goals to give the Rangers a, 7-5 lead with seven minutes left to play in the half. Drew took an, 8-7 lead into halftime.
The Rangers scored first in the second half when Gagliano found Cento for her fifth of the day. The Royals scored the next three goals of the half to take an, 10-9 lead with 17:11 left to play. Less than a minute later Gagliano tied the game at 10 with her first goal of the day. The Royals countered quickly scoring the next two goals to take a, 12-10 lead with 8:45 left to play. The Rangers scored the final three goals of the game, including one from freshman
Morgan Mason (Cranford, N.J./Cranford), with two minutes left to play for the 13-12 victory.

Jadin James (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) played 50 minutes and recorded her second victory of the season for the Rangers. James allowed eight goals, while making eight saves in the win.
Drew returns to play on Wednesday March 19 at 4:00 p.m. when they travel to Hoboken, N.J. for a non-conference contest with Stevens Tech.
