Women's Tennis Falls in Conference Action at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. (April 12, 2014) – The Drew University women's tennis team dropped a Landmark Conference dual match, 9-0, at Juniata College on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Eagles (10-4, 2-3 Landmark) swept doubles play to set the tone for the afternoon, without allowing the Rangers to win more than two games in any of the three matches.
 
Juniata remained strong in singles play, winning all six in straight sets for the 9-0 victory.
 
Sophomore Kirby Clark won two games in each set at fifth singles, but fell 6-2, 6-2 to her Juniata opponent. Freshman Jessica Cheng rebounded from a 6-0 defeat in the first set of her third singles match to win two in the second.
 
Junior Alexandra Scarborough lost her fourth singles match, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Drew returns to the courts on Tuesday, April 15 when John Jay (N.Y.) College comes to Madison for a 4 p.m. dual match.
