MADISON, N.J. (April 26, 2016) – Kirby Clark and Katie Marshall each won their singles and doubles matches to celebrate their Senior Day match, a 9-0 victory for the Drew University women's tennis team (7-8) over Arcadia University (4-14) on Tuesday in the Simon Forum.
 
Top Performers: Playing in one of her final matches in Madison, Clark took care of her No. 4 singles opponent in straight sets (6-1, 6-1). Marshall faced the Knights' top singles opponents and took her to a third-set superbreaker after winning the first set 6-1 and dropping the second 6-2. Marshall outlasted her Arcadia foe 10-7 in the superbreaker to keep Drew's slate clean against the Knights.
 
The seniors then teamed up at second doubles to defeat their Arcadia counterparts, 8-3.
 
Key Moments: Following a sweep of doubles play thanks to matching 8-1 wins by Jessica Cheng/Ty Ty Nguyen and Kathryn Swenor/Megan Jarvis, Cheng clinched the match with a dominating 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles. Nguyen turned in the first singles result at the No. 2 flight, winning 6-1, 6-1.
 
Other Highlights: Jarvis was victorious at fifth singles by a score of 6-0, 6-0, the third time this season Jarvis has won a match without dropping a single game. Swenor won at No. 6 singles 8-3, running her season record to 9-5 for the most singles wins on the Rangers.

They have both meant so much to this program and to the athletic department here at Drew during their careers.
