HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March 9, 2017) – The Drew University women's tennis team won its fourth straight dual match on a 5-4 victory against Sweet Briar College at the PTR Spring TennisFest on Thursday.

The Rangers' fourth consecutive win runs their overall record to 4-1, including a 2-0 mark in Hilton Head. The Vixens falls to 3-5 on the season.

With the Rangers up 4-3 and fifth singles on the court, freshman
Maria Navas Espinal clinched the team win with her 6-2, 6-1 victory over Sweet Briar's No. 5.

Ashley Camel and sophomore
Ty Ty Witten each won singles and doubles matches. They teamed up together at first doubles for an 8-5 win against the Vixens' No. 1s.

In singles play, Camel won at the top spot in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, while Witten took care of business at second singles, 6-4, 6-2. Witten improves to 5-0 at second singles in dual matches this season.

Christina Christodoulou and
Cristina Riccio helped the Rangers take a 2-1 lead after doubles play thanks to a convincing 8-0 triumph at the No. 3 spot.

Drew will play one more in Hilton Head on Friday, March 10 against Defiance College at 1:30 p.m.
