Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 3, 2017) – The fourth-seeded Drew University women's lacrosse team bowed out of the Landmark Conference Championship in the semifinal round with a 16-2 loss at No. 1 seed and No. 14 ranked The Catholic University of America.
By the Numbers: The Rangers fall to 11-7 in 2017 and are now 0-5 against the Cardinals in the postseason. Catholic improves to 12-4 and advances to the Landmark championship game on Saturday against No. 2 The University of Scranton.

Theresa Shafron scored the first goal of the game to put Drew up 1-0 just 2:25 into the contest. Senior midfielder
Morgan Mason netted Drew's second tally with 6:15 remaining in the first half on a free position shot. Senior goalkeeper

Jenna Morelli came up with two caused turnovers and two groundballs in the midfield.
The Difference: Catholic answered Drew's opening marker with its first goal 18 seconds later. The Cardinals would then complete a 9-0 run to help take an 11-2 halftime lead.
Stat Sheet: Catholic held significant advantages in shots (42-13), groundballs (28-17) and draw controls (15-5). The Cardinals were perfect on the clear with a 15-for-15 mark and scored on 2-of-6 free position attempts.
