BETHLEHEM, Pa. –
The Drew University women's tennis team concluded its 2017-18 season with a matchup at Moravian on Thursday afternoon.  Ashley Camel (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Ty Ty Witten (New Haven, Conn.) both earned singles wins to go along with their doubles victory, but the Rangers (8-7, 2-5 Landmark) ultimately dropped a 5-4 decision to the Greyhounds (10-2, 5-1 Landmark) at the Hoffman Courts.

Camel and Witten teamed up to notch an 8-6 triumph over Emma Angle and Kate Rennar at No. 1 doubles before each rallying for a three-set singles win.  Camel dropped the second set against Emma Angle at No. 1 singles, but ran away with the third set for a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 victory.  Witten, meanwhile, came back after losing the second set to earn a 6-1, 2-6, 6-0 win over Brooke Adams at No. 3 singles.  The Rangers also got a victory from Kathryn Swenor (Basking Ridge, N.J.) in the No. 6 position.  In her final collegiate match, she notched a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Grace Bailly.

After Moravian's Adams and Kristen Cassidy topped Maria Navas Espinal (Valle, Colombia) and Xylia Bruff (South Plainfield, N.J.) by an 8-3 count at No. 2 doubles, the Greyhounds' duo of Mary Angle and Lauren Steinert beat Swenor and Christina Christodoulou (Branchburg, N.J.) 9-7 in the No. 3 doubles position.  That match would prove to be the difference, as Moravian earned three singles wins to clinch the overall victory.

At No. 2 singles, Cassidy defeated Navas Espinal by a 6-2, 6-2 count.  Christodoulou, meanwhile, fell to Steinert by a score of 6-0, 7-5 in the No. 5 position.  In the No. 4 singles match, Cristina Riccio (New Providence, N.J.) fell, 6-1, 6-3, to Mary Angle.
