Box Score HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Drew University women's soccer team lost a close 1-0 decision to Westfield State University in its season opener at the Centenary Cyclones Kickoff Classic Friday afternoon.

The Difference - Despite a solid offensive presence that included 19 shots, the Rangers were not able to find the back of the net. Drew gave up an own-goal late in the first half off of a corner-kick deflection that ended up being the winning point for the Owls.

By The Numbers - In addition to a 19-2 shot advantage, Drew earned a 5-1 surplus in corner kicks.

Top Performers - Sophomores Sarah Racine and Leah Dentale each registered a pair of shots on goal. Classmate Madison Dudziec went the distance in goal and made one save off two shots.

Up Next - The Rangers seek their first victory of the season when they visit Centenary at 3 p.m. on Saturday in their final game of the Cyclones Kickoff Classic.
