MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University women's tennis team earned a 5-4 victory over East Stroudsburg University - an NCAA Division II school - Friday afternoon at the Drew Tennis Complex.

Senior Ashley Camel, the reigning Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, clinched the match with a tiebreaker win at No. 1 singles, making the score 5-3.

The Rangers (2-1) jumped to a 2-1 lead after winning at both second and third doubles. Seniors Christina Christodoulou and Cristina Riccio won 8-6 at No. 2 while senior Saraphina Noel Jeune and freshman Eliza Rustum prevailed 8-1 at No. 3.

In singles play, sophomore Danielle DelRosso earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 3 while sophomore Kate Gangi won by the same score at No. 5. Camel then came through, pulling out a clutch 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 nailbiter. 

Drew returns to action on Sunday, when it hosts the New Jersey Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) Women's Tennis Tournament, starting at 9 a.m.
