Full Landmark Conference Results
MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference has released the combined swimming results from its virtual Swimming & Diving Championships, and the Drew University women's team has claimed eight titles.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championships are being held at four different sites - Catholic, Drew, Juniata, and Scranton. After the diving events are held next weekend, the team champions will be announced the week of March 8.
With only the diving events left, the Rangers are in third place in the team standings with 417 points. Drew leads Juniata (271) but trails Catholic (535) and Scranton (441).
Individually, junior
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds led the way with a pair of gold medals, winning both the 100-freestyle (53.18) and the 200-freestyle (1:57.49). She also swam on three different winning relays.
Capturing one individual victory were sophomore
Katie Cashin in the 500-freestyle (5:13.74), freshman
Amira Hadri in the 50-freestyle (24.33), and junior
Sydney Everhart in the 100-butterfly (58.01). Hadri set a school record in the 50-free while Everhart claimed her third consecutive conference title in the 100-fly.
The Rangers also won three relays. Hadri, Cashin, Everhart, and Garcia Hynds prevailed in a school-record time of 1:49.86 in the 200-medley while Garcia Hynds, Hadri, Cashin, and sophomore
Grace Aboussleman also triumphed with a Drew record (1:37.49) in the 200-freestyle. In addition, Cashin, Hadri, Aboussleman, and Garcia Hynds won the 400-free relay in 3:38.83.
Taking runner-up honors were Cashin in the 200-freestyle (1:56.61) and the 200-backstroke (2:10.90), Hadri in the 100-backstroke (59.54) and the 100-freestyle (54.10), Garcia Hynds in the 50-freestyle (24.37), and Everhart in the 200-butterfly (2:16.08).
Earning one third-place finish apiece were sophomore
Alex Edwing in the 200-IM (2:17.07) and freshman
Zoey Geoca in the 1,650-freestyle (18:49.10).
Others cracking the top-eight were freshman
Charlotte Wells in the 100-backstroke (fourth, 1:01.68) and 200-backstroke (seventh, 2:14.68), freshman
Abbey Sutzko in the 500-freestyle (fifth 5:31.68) and 200-freestyle (eighth, 2:04.95), Edwing in the 200-backstroke (fifth, 2:14.68) and 100-backstroke (sixth, 1:02.00), Geoca in the 500-freestyle (sixth, 5:32.72), junior

DAY THREE RECAP
MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University women's swimming & diving team set another school record on the second and final day of the swimming portion of the Landmark Conference Virtual Championships on Saturday in F.M. Kirby Pool.
For the second day in a row, the Rangers opened with a school record, this time in the 200-freestyle relay. Swimming in the first event of Saturday's morning session, junior
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds, freshman
Amira Hadri, junior
Katie Cashin, and sophomore
Grace Aboussleman teamed up for a time of 1:37.49 to eclipse the former mark of 1:38.71 set in 2017.
Hadri concluded her first collegiate meet with three school records after setting Drew standards in both the 200-medley relay and the 50-freestyle on Friday.
The women's team competed in five more events during the morning session. Junior
Sydney Everhart was the lone competitor in the 100-butterfly, and she posted a time of 58.01 - less than a second shy of her own school record. Then in the 200-freestyle, Garcia Hynds came from behind to edge out Cashin in a close race, 1:57.49 to 1:57.61.
Junior
Chara Proud was timed at 1:19.64 as the only Ranger swimming in the 100-breaststroke. Hadri then swam in the 100-backstroke and was clocked at 59.54. In the final event of the session, Hadri, Cashin, Everhart, and Garcia Hynds posted a time of 4:03.55. in the 400-medley relay.
The evening session started with freshman
Zoey Geoca notching the top finish in the 1,650-freestyle (18:49.10). Other top finishers for the Rangers were Cashin in the 200-backstroke (2:10.90), Garcia Hynds in the 100-freestyle (53.18), Proud in the 200-breaststroke (2:52.84), and Everhart in the 100-butterfly (2:16.08). Garcia Hynds was less than a second off the school record in the 100-free. The night came to a close with the 400-freestyle relay, as Cashin, Hadri, Aboussleman, and Garcia Hynds touched in 3:38.83.
