Day 3 Results
BALTIMORE – Sophomore
Kyra Gorman won her second gold medal of the meet, winning the 200-freestyle on the third day of the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday at Loyola University's Mangione Aquatic Center.
Drew has scored 310.5 points and is in third place heading into the final day of the meet. Scranton leads the way with 614 points and is followed by Catholic (598.5), Drew, Susquehanna (254), Juniata (206.5), Elizabethtown (174.5), Wilkes (167), Moravian (88), Lycoming (76), and Goucher (43).
Gorman clocked a time of 1:44.94, outdistancing her nearest competitor by nearly two full seconds. She was also the conference champion in the 50-freestyle on Friday.
The Rangers picked up two additional medals, including a silver in the 200-freestyle relay, as freshman
Mary Loughlin, senior
Ece Onatca, Gorman, and senior
Kaitlyn Zayle were timed at 1:39.69.
Onatca also raced her way to a medal, as she captured the bronze in the 100-butterfly with a time of 1:00.47.
Also reaching the championship finals were freshman
Adriana Scanga in the 100-butterfly (fourth, 1:00.61), senior
Sarah Weber in the 100-breaststroke (fifth, 1:10.28), senior
Chandler Straub in the 1-meter diving (sixth, 188.20), junior
Ana McDonald in the 1-meter diving (seventh, 182.20), and Loughlin in the 100-backstroke (eighth, 1:02.20).
In the consolation finals, sophomore
Ellis Murray came in ninth in the 100-backstroke (1:01.64) and sophomore
Morgan Wilson in the 100-breaststroke (1:13.91).
The Rangers conclude the championship on Sunday, with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals beginning at 5 p.m.
