WASHINGTON, DC – The Drew University women's swimming & diving team lost by a final of 192-99 in its season opener at Landmark Conference foe Catholic University on Saturday.
The Rangers, the defending Landmark Conference champions, were led by senior
Katie Cashin, who won both the 200-butterfly (2:15.31) and the 200-IM (2:17.12).
Drew captured runner-up honors in nine events. Senior
Grace Aboussleman was second in both the 50-freestyle (25.22) and the 100-freestyle (55.40), as was sophomore
Sam Trodick in the 100-breaststroke (1:11.85) and the 200-breaststroke (2:35.36). Other runners-up were sophomore
Katerina Poulathas in the 1,000-freestyle (11:20.64), senior
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds in the 200-freestyle (2:04.40), junior
Amira Hadri in the 100-backstroke (1:01.81), freshman
Chayse Mercer in 1-meter diving (152.80), and freshman
Ece Onatca in the 200-backstroke (2:13.49).
Drew picks up its schedule next Saturday with a dual meet at Montclair State University starting at 1 p.m.
