SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf team concluded the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday with the second and final round of the Landmark Conference Fall Preview, hosted by Susquehanna University at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
The Rangers improved by eight strokes on Sunday and finished with a score of 626 (317-309). They placed third among eight teams while beating out Catholic (636), Goucher (636), Susquehanna (673), Elizabethtown (677), and Juniata (716). Scranton won the team title with a 610 while Moravian placed second with a 622.
Freshman
Elliot Parker was the top overall finisher for the Rangers, as he tied for fourth in the field of 40 with a 153 (74-79).
Sophomore
Mike Ford birdied a pair of holes on Saturday and shot a 6-over-par 76, which tied for the best round of the day for Drew golfers. He finished tied for seventh with an overall score of 155 (79-76).
Senior
Lucas Artigliere and freshman
Shiv Bhaskar each shot a 159 to tie for 12th and complete the team scoring for the Rangers. Artigliere shaved seven strokes off his opening round score, finishing with a 76, while Bhaskar shot 81-78.
Junior
Matvey Pangan was also in action and tied for 25th with a 168 (83-85).
Moravian's Jake Haberstumpf captured medalist honors with a 143.
The Rangers will continue their season during the spring semester.
