MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's swimming & diving team won a dozen events en route to a 186-81 win over Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna University in its home opener on Saturday in F.M. Kirby Pool.
Eight different Rangers won an event for Drew, which improved to 1-2 on the season after picking up its second victory in a row over Susquehanna.
Winning two events apiece were senior
Katie Cashin and junior
Amira Hadri. Cashin touched first in the 200-butterfly (2:15.95) and the 200-IM (2:16.67) while Hadri won in both the 100-backstroke (1:00.00) and the 100-freestyle (54.81).
Contributing one win apiece were sophomore
Harper Sensiba in the 1,000-freestyle (11:37.81), senior
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds in the 200-freestyle (2:02.83), sophomore
Sam Trodick in the 100-breaststroke (1:10.61), freshman
Ece Onatca in the 200-backstroke (2:13.99), junior
Tori Newton in the 200-breaststroke (2:33.73), and freshman
Chayse Mercer in the 1-meter diving (187.64).
The Rangers also won both relays, as Hadri, Newton, Cashin, and senior
Grace Aboussleman captured the 200 medley in 1:51.79 while Garcia Hynds, Newton, Aboussleman, and freshman
Kaitlyn Zayle prevailed in the 400-freestyle in 3:43.30.
Drew is now off from competition until Dec. 2-3, when it hosts the Ranger Invitational.
