MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University women's tennis team took on a formidable opponent in its home opener on Tuesday and lost by a 9-0 count to Endicott College.

Competing for the first time on their newly-resurfaced courts, the Rangers (2-7) received their top showing from freshman Mary Kalorin, who forced a tiebreaker at No. 2 singles in a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 loss.

The Gulls (11-4) have won the last eight Commonwealth Coast Conference titles.

Drew returns to action on Saturday, when it visits Saint Elizabeth University at 10 a.m. in a non-conference match.
