MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University women's tennis teams will host the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference semifinal on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Drew Tennis Complex.
The winner of the match will advance to the championship final, which will be held on Saturday at the highest remaining seed. In Wednesday's other semifinal match, third-seeded Moravian University (13-3, 5-2 LC) will visit second-seeded Goucher College (9-9, 6-1 LC).
The top-seeded Rangers (10-8) enter the postseason on a head of steam after closing the year on an eight-match winning streak. Drew also finished undefeated (7-0) in Landmark Conference play for the first time since the 2016-17 season. That was the same year the blue and green last appeared in the Landmark Conference Championships when only the top-four teams in the conference qualified for the tournament.
Scranton (10-7) secured the fourth and final playoff spot after finishing 4-3 versus Landmark Conference opponents.
Drew, which is 3-3 all-time in the Landmark Conference Championships, is seeking its second Landmark crown and its first since 2010.
When the two sides met on April 20, the Rangers posted a 7-2 victory. The Rangers and Royals have met twice previously in the Landmark Conference postseason, with Scranton winning 5-2 in 2016-17 and 5-3 in 2011-12.
The match will be stopped once a team winner (five points won) has been determined.
The winner of the tournament received an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championships.
