Kate Gangi battled to a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles, clinching a 5-3 victory for the Drew University women's tennis team over the University of Scranton in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Championships on Tuesday at the Drew Tennis Complex.
With the win, the top-seeded Rangers (11-8) will now face third-seeded Moravian University, a 5-2 winner over Goucher College in the other semifinal, in the Landmark Conference final on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Drew.Â
The Rangers, who have now won their last nine matches, opened up a 2-1 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches. Sophomore

Courtney Bresler and junior
Danielle DelRosso captured an 8-3 victory at No. 3, extending their record to 11-1.
DelRosso continued to roll in singles play, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 while improving to 14-4 on the year. Junior
Sanne Bloemendaal put Drew on the brink of victory with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at No. 3, moving to 11-5 on the year while making it a 4-1 match.
The fourth-seeded Royals (10-8) pulled to within 4-3 after winning at both Nos. 2 and 4 singles. But that's when Gangi put the match away for the Rangers, who will be playing in their first Landmark Conference final since 2010.
