CLINTON, N.Y. – The Drew University women's tennis team concluded a solid showing at the ITA Division III Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday at Hamilton College.

After opening her singles career with back-to-back wins in the main draw on Friday, freshman Sofiya Lebedeva put forth another impressive performance. Seeded among the top-16 in the field of 64, she gave fourth-seeded Ida Krause of NYU quite a fight in the round of 16 but lost a 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) decision.

Lebedeva also competed in the doubles main draw with sophomore Mary Kalorin. Also in the round of 16, the pair battled third-seeded Jenny Landells and Charlotte Roarty of The College of New Jersey but lost by a final of 8-4. Landells and Roarty followed up with an 8-5 win over a seeded opponent to reach Sunday's semifinals.

Three other Rangers were in singles action on Saturday. In the consolation bracket, Kalorin lost an 8-3 decision to Katherine Almquist, a seeded opponent from Skidmore.  Meanwhile in the "B" draw, senior Danielle DelRosso lost by an 8-3 count to Eliana Chelnick of Ithaca while freshman Natalia Zamora lost 8-0 to Katelyn Corpuz of Skidmore.

The Rangers are back in action on Tuesday, when they host Manhattanville College at 4 p.m.
