DALLAS, Pa. – Freshman Skyler McGuire placed 38th out of 113 runners to lead the Drew University women's cross country team at the Misericordia Invitational in the Rangers' first race of the season Friday evening.
 
McGuire clocked a time of 17 minutes, 47 seconds for the 4,000-meter course while first-year Sarah Hattan came in 53rd in 18:15. Classmate Annalise Wade placed 58th in 18:26, and senior Virginia Gaylord was 63rd in 18:42.
 
Lauren Bunke of Lebanon Valley won the race in 15:12 while Misericordia captured the team title.
 
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Lebanon Valley Invitational, held at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pa.
