LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf team opened its 2024-25 season with the opening round of The Gauntlet on Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club.
The Rangers shot a 292 and are currently in seventh place in a highly-competitive field of 14.
Senior
Myles Cherry turned in the team's top round for the day, tying his collegiate-best with a 1-over 71 that included a pair of birdies. He is tied for ninth place in the field of 79.
Senior
Mike Ford is second on the leaderboard for the Rangers after carding a 72, placing him in a tie for 13th place. He birdied three holes.
Junior
Elliot Parker shot a 74 and is tied for 28th while sophomore
Avery Cohen is tied for 35th after recording a 75. Sophomore
Eric Castner is also in action after opening with a 77 (T-49th). Cohen led the team with four birdies while Parker and Castner notched two apiece.
Franklin & Marshall College, paced by individual leader Roy Anderson (64), holds a five-stroke lead in the team standings with a 284.
The final round will be held on Monday.
