KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf "B" team turned in an outstanding showing on Wednesday at the Battle at Berkleigh.
 
The Rangers won the 14-team event by six strokes over runner-up Albright College. The team's score was just five strokes shy of the school record set on April 16, 2023.
 
Leading the way for Drew was junior Ryan Ricci, who tied Albright's Nontaphat Veeratecha for second place with a 2-over-par 70 – a collegiate-low by three strokes. Ricci notched five birdies and parred 10 others.
 
Sophomores Avery Cohen and Eric Castner were not far behind. Cohen placed fourth with a 72, birdying four holes along the way, while Castner tied for fifth with a 73.
 
Freshman Brian Cotter rounded out the team score, posting three birdies and tying for 11th with a 75. Junior Liam Larkin also competed and tied for 47th with an 83.
 
Jake Rotelle of Lancaster Bible College claimed medalist honors with a 67.
 
Drew continues its season on Sunday and Monday, when the Rangers' primary team compete at the Golden Oaks Shootout, hosted by Arcadia University, in Fleetood, Pa.
