PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore Sage Hendershot broke the Landmark Conference record in the long jump while junior Emily Camlet added a runner-up finish in the 400 and a school record in the 200 to lead the Rangers at the Winter's Evening Invite, held at the University of Pennsylvania and hosted by Widener University on Friday.

Hendershot glided 5.73 meters (18-9 3/4) to surpass the previous mark of 5.59 meters set by Susquehanna University's Remi Acord last season. She finished second among 28 competitors, finishing behind only Rainah Dunham of Ursinus College (5.83m).

Hendershot recorded her record-breaking leap on her sixth and final jump of the night, and she also exceeded 18 feet on three other attempts as well. Her performance also bettered her own Drew record and at the time of the jump, vaulted her to No. 8 on the current NCAA Division III performance list in the event.

Camlet earned runner-up honors in a field of 36 with a time of 58.58 seconds. Ranked No. 15 in Division III entering the night, she was the top Division III finisher, as she placed behind only Kamani Johns of Division II Lincoln University (55.05). In addition, Camlet finished seventh out of 43 competitors in the 200, clocking a new Drew standard of 25.92 in her first time competing in the event this season.

Sophomore Lauryn Brown also broke the top-10 for the Rangers, placing seventh out of 18 competitors in the triple jump with a mark of 11.12 meters (36-5 3/4). She added an 11th-place finish in the long jump (16-7 1/4).

Freshman April Kusnier finished in the top half of the field in an event as well, placing 17th in a field of 43 in the mile with a time of 5:35.30.

On Saturday, the throws portion of the meet was held at Widener. Sophomore Lauren Rizzolo was the team's top finisher, placing 20th out of 50 competitors in the weight throw with a toss of 11.73 meters (38-6) to better her own school record.

The Rangers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 2, when they travel to the DeSchriver Invitational, hosted by East Stroudsburg University.
