LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Four Rangers posted a personal record (PR) and the Drew University women's cross country team ran well at the Rowan University Inter-Region Border Battle, held on Saturday at the Gloucester Country Dream Park.
Senior
Kate Rice paced the Rangers, placing 70th in the field of 296 runners. She clocked a personal season-best time of 23 minutes, 11 seconds for the 6,000-meter course.
Junior
Skyler McGuire was Drew's second finisher, placing 108th in a PR of 23:59. Sophomore
April Kusnier finished 188th in 25:06 while junior
Sarah Hattan took 212th in 25:39. Sophomore
Isabella Fortunato completed the team score, placing 218th in a PR of 25:49.
Also running were junior
Sophia Kim, who placed 230th in a PR of 26:11, and sophomore
Bella Polizzi, who came in 251st with a PR of 27:00.
As a team, the Rangers came in 26th out of 31 teams. Led by race winner Chloe Bonson (20:57), Carnegie Mellon University claimed the team title.
Drew continues its season on Thursday, when it takes on FDU-Florham and Saint Elizabeth University in the Battle of Madison Avenue at the Giralda Farms Preserve starting at 5 p.m.
