MADISON, N.J. – Coming off a first-round victory, the Drew University men's soccer team will visit the 17th-ranked and top-seeded University of Scranton on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Championship tournament.

The winner will advance to Saturday's championship match to play the winner of the other semifinal between No. 2-seeded Catholic University and No. 6 Lycoming College. The conference champion earns an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship tournament.
Drew is making its 12th appearance in the Landmark Conference Championships and is looking to advance to the final for the fourth time after last reaching the championship game in 2021. They are 7-9-1 overall in the Landmark playoffs.
The Rangers and Scranton (12-0-5, 7-0-2 LC) will be facing each other in the Landmark Conference tournament for the fourth time, with Scranton winning in the 2016 and 2009 semifinals and the Rangers capturing the final in 2007. When the two teams met earlier this season on Oct. 28, Scranton earned a 1-0 victory in Ranger Stadium.

Lenny Armuth, the Rangers have won five of their last seven games, with both losses coming at the hands of nationally-ranked programs. They are paced offensively by junior
Ignacio Martinez, who has accumulated five goals and three assists. Additionally, Cahill has contributed three goals and four assists while Munoz has scored four goals. Junior

Ryan Fischer (two goals), and senior
Jonathan Gutierrez (four assists) have also contributed to a balanced offense.
In goal, junior
Donovan Friedhoff has played the majority of the minutes for the Rangers, posting a 7-4-2 record, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a .787 to go with three shutouts on the season. He recorded his first postseason clean sheet with five saves at Goucher.
Drew will be taking on a Scranton team that leads Division III in goals-against average (.059) and has posted 13 consecutive shutouts. The Royals are appearing in the Landmark Conference semifinals for the third time in the last four years and are seeking to reach the final for the first time since 2022, when they captured the conference title.
