NEW YORK – The Drew University women's swimming & diving team competed at the NYU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Rangers placed third at the highly-competitive meet, which consisted of NYU – a team that finished second at last year's NCAA Division III Championships – along with Stevens Institute of Technology and divers from The College of New Jersey.
Senior
Sarah Weber was among the top finishers on the day for the Rangers, placing 11th in a field of 17 in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:37.94.
Sophomore
Ellis Murray came in fourth out of seven swimmers in the 200-backstroke (2:16.98), and she also led a 7-8-9 finish in the 100-backstroke, touching in 1:02.58. She was followed by freshman
Molly Loughlin (1:03.73) and senior
Ece Onatca (1:04.02). In addition, Murray came in 13th in the 200-IM (2:21.78).
Loughlin added a 14th-place finish in the 50-freestyle (26.60) while first-year
Adriana Scanga was 15th in the same event (27.20).
The Rangers continue their season on Friday, Nov. 21, when they host Montclair State University in a dual meet starting at 3:30 p.m.
