MADISON, N.J. – For the second year in a row, Drew University will serve as the host site for the NCAA Fencing Mid-Atlantic/South Region Championship.
The event will take place on Saturday in the Simon Forum and will feature Drew, Duke, Fairleigh Dickinson, Haverford, Johns Hopkins, Lafayette, NJIT, North Carolina, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Stevens, Temple, and Wagner.
The championship begins at 9 a.m. with epee and foil. A break will take place at 10:30 a.m., followed by quarterfinals at 11 a.m., semifinals at 1 p.m., and finals at 3 p.m. Men's sabre will start at 11 a.m. followed by a break at 12:30 p.m., quarterfinals at 1 p.m., semifinals at 2 p.m., and finals at 3 p.m. Finally, women's sabre starts at noon with quarterfinals at 2 p.m., semifinals at 3 p.m., and finals at 4 p.m.
The regional championships serve as a qualifier for the NCAA Championships, which will take place March 20-23 at Penn State University.
Ticket prices are $5 for general admission and $3 for children (10 and under), seniors (65 and over), and veterans/first responders.
