Rangers are ECAC Champs!

POMONA, N.J. (November 14, 2010) - The Rangers defeated SUNY-Brockport, 1-0, this afternoon to capture their first ever ECAC Championship. Drew tallied their 15th win of the season, marking the most wins in a season since the 1998 season.
The Rangers would need only one goal to secure their first ever ECAC title. Freshman
Katie O'Keefe (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) broke a scoreless tie in the 54th minute to put the Rangers on top for good.
Christine Meconi (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) took corner kick that O'Keefe was able to cash in for her fourth goal of the year.
Meconi was later named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after having a hand in the team's last three goals of 2010. Yesterday she assisted the game-tying goal and registered the gamewinner in a 2-0 come-from-behind victory over Fairleigh Dickinson.
Goalkeeper
Kim Jaikisson (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) made three stops on the day and collected her fouth shutout of the year.
The Rangers were able to deny SUNY-Brockport (9-9-1) of their third-consecutive ECAC Crown. The Golden Eagles knocked off top seed, Richard Stockton in yesterday's game.
