Rangers Cruise in Sixth-Straight Win

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (September 17, 2011) – Drew (6-0) remained unblemished on the year by winning 2-0 on the road against Delaware Valley (1-4) this afternoon.  The Rangers defense turned in their fifth-straight shutout of the young season and fourth consecutive two-goal win.

The Rangers scored a goal in each half and got a solid performance from goaltender Michael Reyes (Delran, N.J./Delran) to propel them to their second win of the week. The freshman made his first career start and made three saves for his first career win.

Sam Nepveux (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) came off the bench and registered his first goal of the fall off a pass from junior Ian Elfers (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) in the 29th minute. The Rangers took the a 1-0 lead into the half, owning a 7-2 advantage in shots after the first 45 minutes of play.

Drew added an insurance goal with 20:01 remaining in the game when Matthew Gragnano (Hazlet, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) scored his second goal of the year after receiving a pass from Tommy Tolve (Nutley, N.J./Nutley).

The Rangers will host Elizabethtown at home on Wednesday in a regional matchup. Currently the Rangers are fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region while Elizabethtown anchors the ninth slot. Game time slated for 7:00 at Ranger Stadium.
