Emma Campbell (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) scored the first two goals and assisted on one other in a 4-1 victory over Rutgers-Newark (1-10-1) this evening. The Rangers ended a four-game winless streak and improve to 4-5-1 on the year.
Campbell, the Rangers leading scorer in her first season, put the Rangers up 2-0 with a pair of unassisted goals in the first 6:07 of play. Just 5:20 in the game Campbell beat her defender near the left end line and fired a shot to the right of the keeper to give the Rangers and early lead. Under a minute later Campbell put home her eighth goal of the season after hustling to beat the keeper to a loose ball, giving the Rangers a 2-0 lead.

Kim Jaikissoon (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) and
Agata Dera (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) combined for four saves in the victory.
The Rangers will be back on the road on Saturday when they square off against a 9-1 Goucher College team in Landmark Conference play. The women will kick-off a soccer doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Beldon Field in Towson, Md.
