SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Senior
Mal Vishwanath won three events but the Drew University women's swimming and diving team was edged by a score of 113-108 at Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University on Saturday.
Vishwanath swam to convincing victories in all three of her events, winning by 23 seconds in the 1,000-freestyle (10:54.69), seven seconds in the 500-freestyle (5:21.65), and five seconds in the 200-freestyle (1:58.57).
Freshman
Katie Cashin and sophomore
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds added two victories apiece for Drew (2-3), which won eight of the 12 events on the day. Cashin won both the 200-IM (2:14.59) and the 200-butterfly (2:14.23) won Garcia Hynds touched first in both the 50-freestyle (25.84) and the 100-freestyle (56.15). Katie Jefferson taking second (2:19.55).
The Rangers closed the meet with a victory in the 200-freestyle relay, with freshman
Grace Aboussleman, Garcia Hynds, Cashin, and Jefferson prevailing in 1:43.92.
Drew continues its season on Dec. 6-7 when it hosts the Ranger Invitational.
