SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Drew University men's swimming & diving team won 14 of 15 events and pushed its record to 3-0 on the season with a convincing 207-71 victory at Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University on Saturday.
Three Rangers captured two events apiece. Senior
Finn Armitt won both the 100-butterfly (51.40) and the 500-freestyle (4:54.71) while
Hayden Koh touched first in the 50-freestyle (21.98) and 100-freestyle (47.90). In addition, sophomore
Gabe Spivak claimed the 50-breaststroke (28.37) and the 100-breaststroke (1:00.83).
Also gaining one victory apiece were freshman
Nicholas Heinio-Widell in the 200-freestyle (1:45.01), freshman
Santiago Rubio Marrodan in the 1-meter diving (122.95), sophomore
Brendan Burkett in the 100-backstroke (56.12), senior
Marco Niro in the 50-butterfly (24.99), and freshman
Kyle Talerico in the 400-IM (4:23.78).
The Rangers also prevailed in both relays. In the 400-medley, sophomore
Ricky Kilichowski, junior
Yan Zheng Lew,
Kyle Talerico, and Niro teamed up for a 3:44.66 while 200-freestyle, Heinio-Widell, Koh, Armitt, and Burkett were timed at 1:26.40.
Drew is now off until Dec. 1-2, when it hosts the 12th annual Ranger Invitational.
