Congrats to this week's Rangers of the Week - senior
Michael Parkhurst of the men's fencing team and junior
Lauren Gaza of the women's volleyball team!
Parkhurst turned in a 12-3 showing in sabre while earning his 100th career win at the Drew Fall Invitational Part II in the Simon Forum this past Sunday. He went 3-0 in three of his five matches in Ranger victories over LIU (20-7), Lafayette (15-12), and Yeshiva (25-2). He also helped his team to a 19-8 win over Wagner, and the Rangers are now 9-3 on the season.
Gaza had an incredible week defensively, tallying 84 digs in only 10 sets for average of 8.4 per set. She posted 35 digs to help the Rangers to a 3-1 win over defending New Jersey Athletic Conference champion Rowan University, and she also set a school record for digs in three sets with another 35 versus regionally-ranked Stevens. Gaza currently ranks fifth in Division III with 6.28 digs per set heading into the team's Landmark Conference Championship first-round match at Elizabethtown.
The Rangers of the Week are nominated and voted upon by the Drew Athletics Staff.
