2023 Drew University Men's Soccer Schedule

MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's soccer team will look to improve upon its 12-win season from a year ago when it kicks off its 2023 schedule this fall.

The Rangers, who closed out the year ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Division III Region V poll, will play 17 regular-season matches, including nine in the newly-surfaced Ranger Stadium. The team's highly-competitive slate will include five matchups versus teams that finished the 2022 season in the regional rankings, two of which also competed in the NCAA Division III tournament.

A noticeable change to this year's schedule is the addition of two new Landmark Conference opponents – Lycoming and Wilkes – will increase the number of conference matches to nine.

Under 30th-year Head Coach Lenny Armuth, the Rangers open the season Sept. 1-3 with the annual Drew Fall Festival, which will be co-hosted by FDU-Florham for the second year in a row. Drew takes on New Paltz, ranked seventh regionally last season, on Sept. 1 at FDU's Elizabeth Ruth Hennessy Field before hosting FDU on Sept. 3.

Immediately following the Drew Fall Festival, the Rangers will visit Western Connecticut State for a marquee non-conference match on Sept. 6. Last season, WestConn finished undefeated (20-0-2) and ranked fourth regionally. The two squads played to a 1-1 tie when they met in Madison a year ago.

On Sept. 20, the Rangers face their third regionally-ranked non-conference foe from last season when they host Vassar, which also played in last year's NCAA tournament. Other non-league opponents will include St.-Josephs-Long Island, TCNJ, Manhattanville, and DeSales.

Drew opens Landmark Conference play at home versus Juniata on Sept. 23. In other Landmark action, the Rangers will also host Elizabethtown, Wilkes, and Goucher while visiting Catholic, Moravian, Scranton, Lycoming, and Susquehanna. Catholic, the defending Landmark Conference champion, finished last season ranked fourth regionally before advancing to the Sweet 16 of the Division III tournament while Lycoming was ranked fifth regionally.

The Rangers finished last season with a 12-2-4 record, good for the team's highest victory total since 2018 and its best winning percentage (.778) since the 2017 campaign.
