GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Drew University women's cross country team closed out its 2024 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships, held on the campus of Stockton University.
The Rangers finished in 17th place among 25 teams, defeating 25 teams.
Sophomore
Sarah Hattan and senior
Caitlin Mulvey led the way for the Rangers, finishing 82nd and 84th, respectively, in the field of 182. Hattan was timed at 25:13 for the 6,000-meter course while Mulvey was just two seconds back.
Junior
Annelise Wade was the next Ranger to cross the finish line, taking 92nd in 25:35. Freshman
Isabella Fortunato followed, finishing 115th in 26:40, while freshman
Bella Polizzi rounded out the team scoring, taking 132nd in 27:38.
Also competing were sophomore
Ariana Vira, who finished 133rd in 27:40, and freshman
Deborah Wang, who took 136th in 28:28.
Rowan University captured the team title while Moravian's Tara Smurla won the women's race in 21:40.
