Coming off a successful debut season, the Drew University men's and women's track & field teams will set their sights on continued improvement within the Landmark Conference and Metro region this year under second-year Head Coach
Sean Robinson.
Last season, the women's team celebrated its inaugural year with numerous individual accolades. During the indoor season, the Rangers claimed the first two Landmark Conference individual titles in team history with
Emily Camlet (400-meter dash) and
Melina Christodoulou C'24 (high jump) claiming one gold medal apiece. By virtue of their performances, both were named First Team All-Landmark Conference. Christodoulou went on to capture All-Metro Region honors for her performance in the high jump during the indoor season, as did
Sage Hendershot in the long jump.
Outdoors, Camlet and Christodoulou medaled at the Landmark Conference Championships once again, with each finishing third in the same two events to earn Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference recognition. They also captured a spot on the All-Metro Region team, along with Hendershot (long jump) and
Kate Rice (5,000-meter run).
On the men's side, the Rangers also brought home some Landmark Conference hardware in their first-ever conference championship during the indoor season.
Zach Mogambi led the way with a runner-up finish in the shot put to earn Second Team All-Landmark Conference honors while the 4x200-meter relay team of
Ricky Ruto Talam,
Adian Hanson,
Alpha Sesay, and
Jeff Ayeh-Datey gained honorable mention all-conference accolades with a third-place finish.
This season, Drew will feature a total of 42 student-athletes, including 27 returners. On the women's side, 11 Rangers return, including the award-winning trio of Camlet, Hendershot, and Rice.
In the sprints, Camlet and Hendershot return to lead the way. Camlet, a junior this season, finished the season with Drew's best times in both the 200- and 400-meter dash (indoors and outdoors) while Hendershot, a sophomore, posted the team's best performances in the 60-meter dash indoors and the 100-meter dash outdoors.
Sophomore
Lauryn Brown and junior
Matasia Christopher will also add depth the sprints this season.
After running the fastest cross country 6,000-meter time in team history this past fall, Rice returns to help lead the Rangers in a wide range of distance events. She posted the squad's top time in six different events spanning the 800 through the 5,000 meters last season.
Sophomore
Sarah Hattan also returns after posting the team's top team for the season in the 800-meter run indoors and outdoors a year ago. The distance squad will also include freshman

In addition to competing in the sprints, Hendershot will take to the long jump runway as well. Brown will also bolster the Rangers in the jumps.
In the throws, sophomore

Michaela Fajardo and
Dejanayha Hill will also compete in the throws this season.
With 16 returning athletes, the men's team will boast depth in a number of events, including the sprints, which will feature up to seven athletes this year. Ayeh-Datey returns after clocking the team's best times in all of the short sprints last season while Hanson is also back after posting the squad's second-best marks in the same events.

Up to seven Rangers will compete in either the middle or long distance events this season, with senior
