Four From Men’s Track & Field Capture CSC Academic All-District Honors

CSC Academic All-District Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Team

MADISON, N.J. – Four members of the Drew University men's track & field team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Team.
 
Sophomore Owen Browne, senior Dylan Crain, junior Tommy Edwards, and junior Zach Mogambi each earned the distinction.
 
Crain, Edwards, and Mogambi each collected CSC Academic All-District honors for the second year in a row.
 
The 2026 CSC Academic All-District® Cross Country/Track & Field Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program in cross country/track & field, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. They must also be ranked in the top-50 in their region in a single individual track & field event per the TFRRS performance list rankings at the time of their nomination or finish in the top-50 at an NCAA regional cross country meet.
 
Browne, a finance major with a 3.59 GPA, finished the outdoor season ranked No. 18 (tied) in the Metro Region in the pole vault (4.00 meters) and 47th (tied) in the long jump (6.32 meters). In addition, he was ranked 21st in the pole vault (4.00 meters) during the indoor season. He scored for the Rangers at both the Landmark Conference Outdoor and Indoor Championships in the pole vault, placing seventh and eighth, respectively. Browne was also a member of Drew's 4x100-meter relay team.
 
An accounting major with a 3.63 GPA, Crain made his mark as a versatile competitor once again, competing in events ranging from 4x400 relay through 10,000 meters. His PR of 34:19 in the 10K placed him 37th in the final Metro Region rankings, and he placed 15th in the same event at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships. He also competed in relay events at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships and was one of the team's top competitors in cross country, posting a season-best time of 28:24 for 8,000 meters.
 
Edwards, a Mathematics major with a 3.75 GPA, made his mark in the middle and long-distance events once again this past year and finished with indoor top-50 regional rankings in both the mile (No. 45th, 4:28.52) and the 3000-meter run (46th, 8:57.90) and an outdoor regional ranking in the 5000 (44th, 15:42.91). He placed 11th in the 1500 and 13th in the 5000 at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships, and he was 13th in the 3000 at the indoor conference meet. Edwards also competed in cross country and was the team's top finisher at the Landmark Conference Championships, where he placed 25th with a cross country PR of 26:26.
 
A computer science and cybersecurity double major with a 3.87 GPA, Mogambi registered another outstanding season in the throws. During the outdoor season, he achieved a top-50 regional ranking in all four throwing events including a No. 1 mark in the discus (50.19m), which also placed him at No. 35 in all of Division III. In addition, he finished at No. 7 regionally in the shot put (14.61m), No. 16 in the hammer (45.34), and No. 48 in the javelin (43.18). He earned the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year award at the outdoor conference meet, where he won the discus, placed second in the shot put, and was third in the hammer. Mogambi also finished the indoor season ranked No. 5 regionally in the weight throw (15.86m) and No. 14 in the shot put (13.86m), and he earned All-Region honors in both the discus and shot put outdoors and in the weight throw indoors.
