Stockton Results
MAHWAH, N.J. and GALLOWAY, N.J. – Several members of the Drew University men's track & field team competed at the Ramapo College Twilight Last Chance Meet on Friday while a pair of throwers were in action at Stockton University's G. Larry James Invitational.
Junior
Zach Mogambi turned in Drew's top performance while competing in the discus at Stockton. He unleashed a season-best throw of 48.94 meters (160-6), placing him second among 11 competitors. It was his third time in his career of throwing over 160 feet, and his throw moved him up to 43rd on the current Division III performance list in the event.
Also at Stockton, sophomore
Eric Forget placed fifth with a throw of 40.22 meters (131-11).
At Ramapo, Drew's 4x800-meter relay squad defeated a team from Ramapo with a school-record time of 8:23.60.
Also competing were junior
Grailin Simmons in the high jump (second, 1.63m/5-4 1/4) and the long jump (sixth, 5.91m/19-4 1/4); sophomore
Michael Olayiwola in the 400-meter dash (ninth, 53.73) and the 200-meter dash (20th, 24.15); freshman
Nathan Charles in the 200-meter dash (16th, 23.79) and the 800-meter run (22nd, 2:11.31); and freshman
Matt Vargas in the 800-meter run (18th, 2:08.99).
Several Rangers will now compete at the Widener University Final Qualifier on Tuesday.
