USTFCCCA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Teams
NEW ORLEANS – Juniors
Zach Mogambi and
Aidan Riccardo have earned a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Metro Region Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team.
Mogambi was honored for his performance in both the discus and shot put this past spring. He has now earned four career All-Region awards – two in the discus (2025, 2026) and one apiece in the shot put (2026 outdoor) and weight throw (2026). Meanwhile, Riccardo captured his first career All-Region honor for his performance in the decathlon.
The top-eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.
Mogambi finished the season ranked No. 1 in the Metro Region in the discus with a season-best throw of 50.19 meters (164'8"), a mark that was also good for No. 35 on the final Division III performance list. He also finished the year ranked seventh in the Metro Region in the shot put when he lowered his own school record with a heave of 14.61 meters (47'11.25") at the Battle of Madison Avenue. Mogambi earned the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year award after winning the discus while placing second in the shot put and third in the hammer at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships.
Riccardo ended the year as the No. 8-ranked decathlete in the Metro Region this past spring. He made history for Drew as the first Ranger in program history to complete a decathlon when he scored 5,059 points to place fourth at The College of New Jersey Multi.
